Packet 7: Tossup 11
This series’s second film is dedicated to Requiem for a Dream novelist Hubert Selby Jr., who co-wrote its director’s first English-language film. Peter Peter’s bands Bleeder and The Prisoner wrote songs for this film series like “Summers Got the Color” and its drum-and-organ theme, which accompanies its opening credits in which each character’s name is displayed under shadowy close-ups on their face. In this series, a former professional gymnast and dancer played a character who has a tattoo of the all-caps word (*) “RESPECT” on the back of his shaved head. Every film in this series features Milo, a Serbian played by Croatian actor Zlatko Burić (“BOO-reech”). This film series, which is named after a cobbled street once home to drug dealers in Christiania, launched the career of Mads Mikkelsen. For 10 points, name this trilogy about Copenhagen crime by Nicolas Winding Refn. ■END■
